Please ensure you have read the following rules.

  1. Please share freely from your experience of dealing with Heritage Conservation. Share information, photos, stories, etc., provided they are helpful and add something positive for the group.
  2. Please share important milestones in your career, successful projects, etc., and include images where appropriate. Highlight learning outcomes. Do not share a page post from elsewhere.
  3. If you are involved in research, please feel free to ask for participants, assistance and/or share your draft findings in confidence that it will not be taken outside this community.
  4. Likewise, those producing papers/books on specific matters should be able to share in private to elicit peer review.
  5. Discussions and information within this Community are PRIVATE and must NOT be shared outside the Community without the express permission of those involved in that discussion. Therefore, this should be a safe place to share initial findings of research, to find participants in research, etc., in advance of any formal publication.
  6. Before posting, ensure it is relevant and beneficial for the group. This group is for discussion about International Heritage Conservation.
  7. The content of this community is protected by copyright laws and may not be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, displayed, or otherwise used without the prior written permission of the copyright owner. Reproduction of this material, in whole or in part, without the express written permission of the copyright owner is prohibited. Regarding materials produced by BE Conservation for this site, the copyright owner is Boniface Enterprises Ltd. 8. The content in this group is provided for information purposes ONLY. You should NOT RELY on content, instead you MUST do your research in order to reach decisions as to how to perform your job, undertake a task, and/or advise a client. HCC is a friendly community, so approach it with the intended spirit.
  9. We’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
  10. Make sure that everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn’t allowed, and degrading comments about things such as race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, or identity will not be tolerated. It is not unusual to find that we have different opinions and experience from each other, but please express this politely and respectfully. Posts that ignore this rule will be deleted and the offending member may be excluded.
  11. Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What’s shared in the group should stay in the group.
  12. Give more to this group than you take. Spam and irrelevant links aren’t allowed. Promotion of your services, courses, etc., are allowed in the appropriate area of the site, but admins reserve the right to remove if promotion is considered excessive and detrimental to the overall aims of this group. If in doubt, ask Admins before posting.
  13. This community is NOT for trades, or those selling products. However, if an individual tradesperson/salesperson provides consultancy services, they may be a member provided they do not use this as a platform to sell.
  14. If it is found that a member is not working in the heritage sector and/or has provided misleading information when joining or contributing to this community, that individual will be excluded.
  15. Do not share phone numbers, or personal information without that individual’s specific consent – to be confirmed by admins prior to posting. Do not share any personal information from this group to anywhere outside of this group.
  16. If a member is found to have violated these rules, and a decision made to exclude them, no refund of fees will be provided.
  17. Should a member decide that the Community is not appropriate for their requirements and wish to leave, they may do so at any time. Membership will cease at the end of the last month of the period for which they have paid.
  18. If you see a post/comment that violates our rules, report it to the admins — DO NOT verbally attack the author of said post/comment. Think before you report. Don’t report posts or comments that aren’t breaking any rules just because you don’t like or agree with their content. Talk to the admin team. If you have any questions or concerns or are experiencing issues in the group, please turn to one of the admins for help. That’s what we’re here for!
